To blow out the candles with originality, opt for this recipe for birthday cake with chocolate and organic Imperial Chai. This delicious blend of chocolate and sweet spices is sure to delight your guests on this festive day!

Ingredients
- 2 teaspoons
- 150 ml milk
- 140 g baking chocolate
- 115 g butter
- 170 g flour
- 65 g caster sugar
- 10 g cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 sachet baking powder
- 4 eggs
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- Heat the milk and tea in a saucepan until simmering. Leave to infuse for 10 minutes. Strain.
- Return the strained milk to the heat, add the butter and chocolate and melt over a low heat.
- Mix the flour, sugar, cocoa, cinnamon, ginger and baking powder in a bowl. Add the eggs one by one, then fold in the chocolate-chai mixture.
- Pour into the tin of your choice.
- Bake for 20 minutes at 180°C, until the tip of a knife comes out clean.
Tasting advice
For an even more delicious treat, add a cinnamon whipped cream to this cake: whip 20 cl of very cold full cream, 1 spoonful of cinnamon and 2 spoonfuls of icing sugar until you obtain a whipped cream consistency.
